On Thursday night, James Gunn released the teaser trailer for his third revamp of the Superman franchise. The teaser is the first official glimpse at David Corenswet’s portrayal of the Man of Steel since he succeeds Henry Cavill.

In addition to Superman, the teaser reveals a number of other DC Universe characters. Chief among them being the super dog Krypto. Fans have applauded the teaser for its vibrant color scheme, which stands in stark contrast to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, which is renowned for its gritty depiction of the man and his life.
A wounded Superman is seen bleeding in the snow in the teaser. As Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, looks at Lois Lane, we get a peek of his life. James Gunn has posted first-look posters and a number of BTS and on-set photos of David Corenswet’s Superman during the past year. Warner Bros. released the first look clip, featuring Rachel Brosnosnhan as Lois Lane, two days before the teaser.
David Corenswet plays the title role in Superman, which is the third movie revival of the character in the past 20 years, following those starring Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill. Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell are among the cast members of the James Gunn-directed movie. The release date is July 11, 2025.
